Job Description As a technical expert in NAND memory, ASIC design, flash storage & engineering development processes, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and success of our product portfolio, leveraging your technical knowledge to provide leadership and guidance.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Product Manager with specialized expertise in NAND memory, ASIC design, engineering & Quality processes and flash storage technologies.
In this role, you will serve as the technical leader for our consumer flash product portfolio, influencing the product roadmap in conjunction with the Product Management team to meet customer needs and stay ahead of the competition.
Your deep understanding of NAND memory, ASIC design, engineering development & Quality processes and flash storage will be crucial in guiding the engineering, launch, and optimization consumer storage solutions.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership and Expertise:
Serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert in NAND memory, ASIC design, engineering and quality processes and consumer flash storage technologies, providing leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and industry trends in NAND memory, ASIC design, and flash storage, and assess their potential impact on our product roadmap and strategy.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure that our products leverage cutting-edge technologies, delivering optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Collaborate with engineering to streamline and optimize product development and quality processes Must be skilled at people management, across different regions/time zones, and have experience for developing internal product training materials and programs Product Roadmap and Strategy:
Heavily influence the product roadmap, aligning it with market demands, customer needs, and business objectives.
Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation in our flash storage product lines.
Work closely with the product management team to translate next-generation technologies and new market requirements into a clear product strategy that maximizes the value of our storage offerings.
Product Development and Execution:
Collaborate with engineering to optimize the product development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and technical requirements.
Help drive the execution of product development projects, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality implementation, and adherence to project milestones.
Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and product management teams throughout the development lifecycle, addressing technical challenges and ensuring alignment with the product vision.
Build technical relationships with partners to help drive collaboration and definition of new product requirements.
Primary interface between partners and engineering when technical challenges arise.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, partners, and internal teams, to understand their needs and gather feedback on product features and performance.
Communicate technical roadmaps, updates on partner/eng issues and release plans to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations.
Product Performance and Optimization:
Monitor and analyze the performance of our storage solutions, leveraging your technical expertise to identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement performance improvements, resolve technical issues, and ensure the highest level of product quality.
Continuously evaluate and iterate on our storage solutions based on customer feedback, market trends, and technical advancements in NAND memory, ASIC design, and flash storage.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
A master's degree or Ph.
D.
is preferred.

years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, with a focus on NAND memory, ASIC design, engineering development, quality processes and flash storage technologies.
In-depth knowledge and expertise in NAND memory technology, including various types, architectures, interfaces (e.
g.
, SATA, PCIe), and performance characteristics.

Compensation & Benefits Details An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.
This range may be modified in the future.
You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.
Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
