Description PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Follow all company policies.
Follow all Quality policies and procedures to ensure the output of your work and your team's work, maintain the quality management system and continually improve its effectiveness.
Actively engage with the quality team to ensure the work you are producing is conforming to the customer, regulatory and statutory requirements Work on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects that require evaluation, risk management, inspection, capability analysis, etc.
Trouble shoot and have open communication with the machinist(s) if any dimensions fail, and how to correct the issue Verify that all required process operations on the router have been performed on the product that is being inspected Record into the ERP system all hours worked on each project every day.
Verify that all inspection cycle times listed on the traveler are accurate, or make updates/corrections if times are not accurate and submit change requests on routers that require updates Ability and willingness to provide trainings on how to inspect parts with the measurement equipment in the QC department (e.
g.
, the Keyence, CMM, Smartscope, etc.
) with the QC team and machinists.
Also train on verification of inspection equipment Performs real time defect evaluation, following the process for nonconformances (NC's) when they arise, and communicate any NC issues that require immediate attention to applicable personnel Ensure all programs used for inspection are saved per the process, with the correct customer part number, revision, and location Ensure all programs have a clear, visual set up sheet or instruction for other operators and inspectors to use Participate in audits, customer visits, and conference calls by speaking to auditors and customers about inspection, applicable processes, and other quality control related topics Maintain and safely store all company owned gauges, tools, and equipment.
Ensure they are not able to touch each other and cause damage Escalate any negative trends in inspection to QC Manager, Director of Manufacturing (or Manufacturing Leads), and/or Head of Quality Use the systems in place and team members to gather priorities for the QC department on what is required to be inspected to move product through QC.
Main goal is to push shipments for the month.
o Act as the liaison between QC and the other departments, to assist with scheduling employees on the correct jobs/projectso Attend shipping meetings, and provide priorities to QC as an output of those meetingso Communicate clearly using the systems at hand and to the appropriate personnel when deadlines will be missed, why, and a recovery ETAo Provide status updates to appropriate personnel when necessary and through systems at hand Monitoring and maintenance of equipment calibration and records to ensure all are performed per the process and timely.
Aspects of calibration include:
o Pulling recall reports and using the QC and QA team to assist with pulling the required tools requiring calibrationo Completing and delegating (when necessary) internal calibration on tooling Follow Calibration SOP requirementso Sending out quotes for calibration, working with finance on approvals, issuing purchase order requests or purchase orders for calibration.
Follow Calibration SOP requirementso Leading and completing inventory cycle counts for inspection toolingo Participate in identifying job readiness for inspection toolingo Hold the QC department and Manufacturing department accountable for the inventory items, ensuring they are checked out accurately and placed back in the appropriate locationsADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
6S Participation.
Attend meetings as required.
Participates in Customer, Regulatory Audits, and Manufacturing Floor Audits Assist with on-the-job trainings that may take place in this department, including observations by colleagues.
Ensure you have completed all assigned trainings for your position per your training plan.
Assist teammates across all shifts as needed to ensure PSP achieves the set company goals.
Assist with or lead on-the-job trainings for other team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Strong reading and writing skills required.
Advanced arithmetic skills required Ability to speak, read and write in English and strong communication skills required Proficient computer skills including ability to use Excel, Word, and Outlook Previous experience with an ERP system preferred Five (5) years minimum experience in field of mechanical machining is required Ten (10) years minimum experience in field of inspection is required Expert at reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and GD&T symbols Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; more with mechanical assistance Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required Immense attention to detail Must be able to perform measurements using the following tools:
Zeiss CMM (must be able to program Zeiss), Keyence (vision systems), caliper, micrometer, height gage, and optical comparator Ability to work well in a team setting, as well as independentlyAbout the Company:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
