Senior Software Engineer

Design, develop, and support FireEyes leading-edge product suites. Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing products. Develop hot fixes and patch and maintenance releases for network security appliances, which provide security services such as IPS/IDS/DPI. Work on all areas of the product. Perform in-depth root cause analysis, design and implement solutions, and review conduct code reviews. Analyze software defects and performance issues in an embedded Linux-based environment. Participate in ongoing process enhancements and software development practices. Design and develop common management interface and central management system for the product.
Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Programming languages including C or C++, PHP or Python scripting, and Ruby on Rails;
2. Data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis;
3. Multi-threaded programming and inter-process communication mechanisms;
4. Software development in Linux environment;
5. Networking protocols, network analyses, and monitoring tools;
6. MySQL or Postgres databases;
7. Version control systems, including CVS and SVN;
8. Software development-related troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, and analysis;
9. Working in a multitasking environment and meeting release cycle deadlines.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
