Job Description: Initiate the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects. Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products. Initiate the development of image and signal processing algorithms for the next generations of optical inspection and metrology systems. Conduct image segmentation, texture analysis, classification, feature extraction, statistical data analysis, signal processing, and utilize filter theory. Research and develop algorithm to improve SFS inspection tool performance in terms of sensitivity, position accuracy, and defect classification. Characterize performance using expertise in tool usage, data collection, and analysis. Collaborate with other teams for prototyping and testing. Interact with others as part of a multi-disciplinary global team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a research-related occupation.
Education or experience must include:
1. Demonstrated knowledge of algorithm development, including image segmentation, texture analysis, classification, feature extraction, statistical data analysis, signal processing, and filter theory;
2. Background in electromagnetic fields and optics;
3. C+
and OOD/OOP;
4. MATLAB;
5. Python;
6. Experience in any one of the following areas: algorithm performance optimization, distributed computing, or parallel computing;
7. Image data analysis.
