Firmware Engineers

SanDisk Corporation needs Firmware Engineers in Milpitas, California to analyze, design, program, debug, troubleshoot and/or modify firmware (IC embedded code) applications. Conduct programming activities involving analog and digital hardware and software operating systems. Responsible for the design and development of device firmware for SanDisk's flash memory storage devices. Design and develop complex data and storage management algorithms, interface and protocol drivers, low level device management, using scalable software architecture/design, and development of unit tests to ensure correctness.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, followed by 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a Firmware Engineer-related occupation. Experience must include: C and Python programming, Data structures, Algorithms, and Design Concepts; Embedded software development in C; Low level firmware and software design, development, and debugging including ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems; Designing and developing software for resource and computing constrained device environments; Interface and protocol drivers; Firmware development for storage devices, hard drives, memory devices; NAND storage devices, including awareness of associated error handling and garbage collection algorithms; and Interrupt handlers, shared memory, stack analysis, context switching and inter-processor messaging techniques. Experience may be gained concurrently. Some travel may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
