Demand Planning Managers

SanDisk Corporation needs Demand Planning Managers in Milpitas, California to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and various statistical methods to create monthly demand forecasts. Collect and analyze data to develop decision support tools for demand planning team. Identify continuous improvement opportunities in business operations and execution of the long-range plan and work with IT group to implement system changes (i2 DM and SAP DP). Track and measure forecast accuracies of various business units, providing recommendations for adjustments based on forecast bias and other analytics. Work closely with Supply Chain Optimization group and IT to improve statistical forecasting models and implement them to improve efficiency. Provide a rolling forecast and demand plan for Retail Americas that meets supply constraints and financial goals. Does not have direct or indirect reports.
Employer will accept a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a demand planning-related occupation. Education or experience must include:
1. Implementing statistical forecasting models, including MAs, Exponential smoothing (single, Holts double exponential, Winters triple exponential) and Regression Models;
2. Probabilistic models for forecast error analysis;
3. Spreadsheet modeling in MS Excel, and data analysis using R programming language;
4. Leading supply chain optimization projects with cross-functional teams;
5. Utilize mathematical modeling (using various linear optimization, and simulation techniques) to improve planning processes;
6. Training experience on forecasting on statistical forecasting models; and
7. Six sigma certification.
Experience may be gained concurrently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
