Failure Analysis Engineers

SanDisk Corporation needs Failure Analysis Engineers in Milpitas, California to design and implement diagnostic tools, improve the diagnostic capabilities of products through smart extraction and analysis of drive data. Perform failure analysis on devices to identify and categorize problems and drive them to resolution in collaboration with other teams. Design and develop automated test suites of analysis scripts and user scenarios. Work closely with the development teams to report failures, communicate issues, and verify solutions. Execute automated test scripts that cover hundreds of test cases for multiple releases of the product. Conduct quality improvement by proposing and implementing development methods and offline code analysis tools. Troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or 1 year of work experience in an Engineer-related occupation. Education or experience must include:
1. Programming and Development with OOP including PERL, Python, PowerShell and XML;
2. Windows Server, Hyper-v, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, and VMware ESX;
3. Enterprise Server and Storage management software including Dell PowerEdge iDRAC and MD Storage Manager;
4. Agile/Scrum and Waterfall testing techniques;
5. Network protocols including TCP/IP, 802.1x,
6. Databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and SAS.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
