Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing expertise and leadership to the service and maintenance staff while ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of WestRock's plant assets.
The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable efficient, high-quality production of customer products.

Responsibilities:
Business Excellence o Provide strategic leadership on maintenance operations to ensure maximum production o Develop and implement the short- and long-term maintenance strategy to enable operating efficiency in alignment with WestRock's values o Create Maintenance Department safety goals and plan to ensure a safe work environment o Create an effective Plant Maintenance Program using industry best practices to maximize equipment reliability and uptime o Supervise and inspect maintenance work to ensure the most effective, efficient and up-to-date technology and preferred maintenance practices are implemented by craftsmen o Manage and analyze maintenance department KPIs to assess operating efficiency and identify opportunities to drive performance excellence o Monitor and communicate departmental performance in Safety, Environmental, Reliability, and Cost effectiveness o Provide guidance in the development of the maintenance business plan and forecasts o Lead maintenance staff to exceed industry standards and set new industry uptime and reliability standards o Serve as a member of the Plant Leadership Team to align on Plant goals and standards and collaborate on organizational effectiveness o Negotiate using win-win strategies on behalf of WestRock with the Labor Union representatives on contract issues People and Culture o Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to all corporate, state and federal safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and regulations by all maintenance staff o Foster a culture of care that promotes active participation and buy-in for safety and maintenance reliability from craftsmen o Ensure maintenance staff is adequately trained and motivated to achieve departmental objectives in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner Critical Skills / Capabilities:

Qualifications:
To perform the duties of the job, this role requires:
o Occasionally ascending/descending stairs o Occasionally reaching by extending fingers on one hand o Occasionally reaching by extending one arm o Occasionally using fingers to grasp with one hand o Occasionally using fingers to type with one hand o The spoken exchange of ideas to be performed loudly 25-50% of the time o The spoken exchange of ideas to be performed quickly 25-50% of the time o The safe and accurate preparation and analyzing of data and figures, monitoring of a computer terminal, or inspection of small defects or parts Work Environment:
o Frequently works indoors, in an environment that is climate controlled o Frequently works outdoors in natural environmental conditions (both hot and cold) o Frequently works indoors in an environment that is not climate controlled and has high temperatures o Occasionally works indoors in an environment that is not climate controlled and has low temperatures o The role is occasionally sedentary, which entails sitting or being stationary o Frequently stands or walks for 1-2 hours at a time o Occasionally stands or walks for 3-6 hours at a time o Occasionally stands or walks for more than 6 hours at a time o Noisy industrial work environment; maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
